Phytopolis

In June 2024, an interdisciplinary art project was staged outside the Belvedere Palace in Weimar, blending music, performance, and social commentary. The project featured works by Henry Purcell, Georg Friedrich Händel, John Eccles, and Barbara Strozzi, weaving a powerful narrative that critiqued society's neglect of environmental and ecological stewardship. Directed by Bernd Niedecken, the performance combined historical music with a contemporary message, using the open-air setting to amplify its impact and underscore the urgency of the issue.
